From Player to Page Event 2024

With new supporters from business and the games industry, this years From Player to Page event was something really special! Hosted by the From Player to Page team, this years awards event was held at the incredible Cyberport in Pok Fu Lam. A superb venue space with exceptional services allowing us to bring a brilliant event to life. Prizes were sponsored this year by the games industry and FPTP, with developer Panic, Inc providing the adorable casual gaming Playdate devices to category winners, with Playasia supporting with Switch devices. The morning may have been wet and windy, but we brought sunshine and smiles to the faces of the parents, teachers and students that joined!

Inaugural Event 2021

Where it all began — the very first From Player to Page event, and proof that gaming and literacy belong together. Launched during a period when so many young people had turned to video games as a source of joy, connection and escape, From Player to Page was born from a simple but powerful idea: that the stories, worlds and characters young people love in games can inspire brilliant writing. Our inaugural awards day in Causeway Bay brought together students, teachers and families to celebrate exactly that — and the response was extraordinary. The talent on display, the enthusiasm in the room, and the smiles on the faces of every winner told us everything we needed to know. This was just the beginning.
